It's only me !

Postby triumphtek » Mon Feb 01, 2010 9:49 pm

Hi,
I rebuilt a couple of MBs in Europe & rescued a pretty little '86 XJ from a salvage yard about three months ago I have rebuilt the engine (2.8) the tranny & the NP207. All I need now, is a good look under the hood of an '86 2.8 to figure out where all the vacuum hoses go !! HA
Spent most of my life in the Military, fixing aircraft engines & free time playing with Brirish motorbikes (hence the "triumphtek" email).
Regards,
Sandy.

Wow another xj. Glad to have you about. I do have a quick question though... why exactly did u rebuild the 2.8 instead of replacing it with another(bigger) motor. Not trying to be rude at all, i'm just surprised is all.

Welcome to the club and I hope you attend a meeting, i would love to look at your jeep. I might be able to help you with the vacuum routing as well

Welcome aboard. Always good to have another XJ.

I would also like to know the answer to Bills question.

Also, I have a bunch of stuff regarding the wiring and vacum lines on many years of XJs....send me a PM and perhaps I can locate some PDFs to send ya.....or you can just send me an e at cjabuzer at gmail.
